Ingredients
  • 1 3/4 cup plain greek yogurt (or dairy-free yogurt)

  • 4 large eggs, beaten

  • 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp garlic salt

  • 1 tbsp baking powder

  • 1/4 cup softened butter (we prefer vegan butter)

  • 1 1/2 cups baby spinach, chopped

  • 2 tbsp fresh chives, chopped

  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar

  • 1 lb ground breakfast turkey sausage, browned

Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 400F. Line a large baking pan with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flower, garlic powder, salt, and baking powder.

  3. Add the softened butter and mix with your hands until a crumb-like texture.

  4. Add the yogurt and beaten eggs. Mix until almost all flour is absorbed.

  5. Add the chopped spinach, herbs, shredded cheddar, and browned sausage. Mix until well combined.

  6. Using a large ice cream scooper or spoon, drop 18 evenly portioned biscuit like shapes onto the prepared baking sheet (you may need 2 pans).

  7. Bake at 400F for 6 minutes, then reduce heat to 350F for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown.

Meet Sadie

Welcome to Happy. Nourished. Well!

I'm Sadie, the mastermind behind all the delicious and nourishing recipes you'll find here.

Growing up in Central Texas and being someone who did not particularly enjoy eating meat, I was quickly labeled a "picky eater" as a child. But that couldn't be any further from the truth!

After experimenting with food, I discovered my love for fresh ingredients, and now I can't get enough! The farmers market is my happy place, and if I have any spare time during the week, you can almost always find me in the kitchen trying out a new recipe.

Trust me, there's nothing better than the flavors, textures, and colors of freshly made food. So, let's have some fun and try out a recipe or two!
