The founder of Happy.

Nourished. Well. 

For years, I was the chubby kid. It didn't matter what I ate or how much I worked out, I was always bigger than other kids my age. I saw doctors, cut carbs, you name it...nothing worked. By the time college came around, I was so tired of trying and never seeing results that I gave up. I ate anything high in carbs (pasta, pizza, crackers), drank sodas daily, and alcohol every weekend. 

This quickly resulted in me gaining 60 lbs! 

By my junior year, I was "dieting" again, and was a regular at the college recreation center. Sure, I would lose 10 lbs every now and then, but a few months later I would gain it back and then some. 

Fast forward 10 years. 

After going through the same cycle over and over again, I decided to take control of my own health and questioned EVERYTHING. Very quickly, I realized that my doctors were only concerned with treating my symptoms and not figuring out the cause of the problem. It didn't matter what was causing me to feel bad, the answer was always "eat less and move more". 

Sound familiar? 

So, I started over. I found all new doctors, began seeing a nutritionist, and really began diving into my blood work results. Within a year we discovered that I had asthma, Hashimoto's (thyroid issues), PCOS, was anemic, and that my adrenal hormones were barely functioning. 

No wonder I felt terrible all the time! Forget trying to lose weight...my body was struggling to SURVIVE. 

It's been almost 3 years now, and I feel better and healthier than ever before! By listening to my body and taking time to figure out the cause of the problem, I have: 

- Lost 42 lbs (and counting)

- Stabilized my blood oxygen %

- Lowered my triglycerides

- Reversed pre-diabetes

- Increased my overall iron levels

- Leveled out my thyroid

- Increased my energy

- Cleared my skin (goodbye adult acne!)

But it doesn't end there. The most important thing I've learned is to listen to my body. My body's needs will continue to change, and I will continue to adapt as needed. 

This is the goal of Happy. Nourished. Well. We offer someone who will listen. Someone who will tune out all the noise, and help you figure out what your body is trying to tell you. Whether you want to lose weight, gain weight, increase energy, or just live a healthier life - you deserve to reach your goals!
